Kerala is situated on the tropical Malabar coast of  South Western India.It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in India.Kerala is famous especially for its Eco-tourism initiatives.Its unique culture and traditions and its varied Demography has made Kerala one of the most popular tourist destinations in the World.

               Kerala is popular for her Beaches,Backwaters,Mountain Ranges and Wildlife Sanctuaries.The city Kochi ranks first in the total number of international and domestic tourists in Kerala.Other popular attractions in the state include the beaches at Kovalam , Cherai and Varkala, Backwater tourism and Lake resorts around Vembanad Lake , Kumarakom and Alappuzha , Hill stations and Resorts at Munnar , Wayanad , Nelliampathi , Vagamon and Ponmudi and National parks and Wildlife Sanctuaries at Periyar and Eravikulam National Park.

Beaches -  Kerala has a long coast line of about 595 km all of which   is virtually dotted with sandy beaches.

Backwaters - The backwaters in Kerala are a chain of lakes parallel   to the Arabian sea coast.   

Hill Stations - Eastern Kerala consists of land encroached upon by Western Ghats  ; thus this region include High mountains , gorges and Deep-cut valleys.  

Wildlife - Kerala's native habitat consists of Wet Evergreen rain forests and lower elevations and Highland deciduous and semi-evergreen forests in the east is subjected to a humid tropical climate.Most of Kerala's bio-diverse tracts of  wilderness lie in the evergreen forests of its easternmost districts.

Festivals - The major festival in Kerala is Onam.Kerala has a number of  religious festivals.The sivarathri is also an important festival in Kerala.

Culture - Kerala's culture is s synthesis of  Aryan and Dravidian cultures. The culture of Kerala includes Performing arts, Music , Martial arts and Sports , Literature , and Politics etc...

Ayurveda - Medical Tourism , promoted by Traditional systems of medicine like Ayurveda and Sidha are widely popular in Kerala.
